Opinion Line Extra (Nov. 25)
Half of all people are below average. Unfortunately, these folks were all driving on Friday through the fog without their headlights on.
Let’s see now. If it’s a Republican sweep, the fat cats bought it and the voters didn’t turn out. If the Democrats win, it’s a mandate. No – I believe it was a mandate.
An Opinion Line contributor says the Democrats see their fellow citizens as “stupid and ill-informed.” Could it be that Republicans do, too? Look at your friends and neighbors and ask yourself if they might be onto something.
Don’t dismiss Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach’s comments regarding ethnic cleansing as accidental as you will hear a lot of those type of comments from him, as he has started his 2018 campaign for governor.
So according to Obama, his actions refusing to enforce the immigration laws are “the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president and every Democratic president for the past half-century.” How ridiculous. If they had, they’d have been impeached.
Speaker John Boehner has acted unilaterally, under his authority, since June 2013 by not allowing the House to vote on the immigration bill that passed the Senate 68-32. President Obama has been patient long enough. It’s his turn to act unilaterally under his authority.
Actually, the only ones who think Obamacare isn’t working are those who know don’t have it and have no firsthand knowledge about it. Obamacare may be far from perfect, but at least it’s something in an effort to help the uninsured. The GOP offered nothing.
Obama’s policies have caused the U.S. to fall to 21st in a ranking of personal freedom. I guess liberal thinking is backfiring.
Oh, no – same-sex marriages have happened right here in Wichita. Let me guess – Republicans will be predicting the end of the world just like they did when we got the lottery, liquor by the drink and the ability to buy alcohol on Sunday.
Matrimony may be about motherhood, but not all couples who marry do so just to procreate. Some choose not to do so.
Go ahead – keep drilling for natural gas and oil in Kansas. And store your carbon pollutant in our ground. It won’t get into our water we need to survive. Of course you’re not causing earthquakes. Keep up the good work, Kansas government.
A great big “thank you” for burning whatever it is you are burning for some reason other than a valid one – such as keeping warm. There’s nothing like walking into my home after being outside and smelling like I’ve been standing next to a campfire.
