Opinion Line Extra (Nov. 24)
From 2009 to 2011, Obama and the Democrats held power in both houses of Congress and he did nothing on immigration. Now that he has neither house of Congress, he’s ready to act? Playing politics or incompetent, it’s one or the other.
The Emperor has spoken.
Why does everyone seem to think Obama cares about immigrants? All he really cares about is himself. He’s trying to make himself the center of attention and relevant again by giving 5 million jobs to illegals and paying them $10.10 per hour.
I took the president’s actions very personally Thursday night. I felt like he told me that I and my vote don’t matter. I’m just one of the little people.
Obama unflinchingly quotes Scripture to support unlawfulness. What is next? Scriptures for support of abortion? Genocide? Communism? What this man will not do to get votes! We have entered a time of frightening unlawfulness, and our government is leading.
The Latinos crossing into the United States are not immigrants, but refugees from their countries willing to work at jobs that U.S. parents have raised their kids not to want. What is causing them to come here is their countries’ inability to provide a decent place for them to live and work.
Another Bush as president? I think two were enough.
The conservative education plan: educators pay more and more to become credentialed for a job that pays less and less.
Kansas House Speaker Ray Merrick said his comments were “poorly phrased and poorly contextualized.” I would like for him to correct any misunderstanding and tell us what he really meant.
Wow. Virgil Peck wants to be speaker of the Kansas House. Seems appropriate, considering the state of the state.
Conservatives say it’s wrong to leave our kids with debt and their infrastructure falling down, yet they are doing exactly that. What happens when Kansas can’t borrow money because our credit already stinks, and there are no more highway funds to steal? Idiocy, thy name is supply-side Republicans.
The Republicans might as well shoot all the Democrats. Oh, they cannot do that. They wouldn’t have anyone to pay the taxes for them to receive their tax breaks.
Aren’t you mad as hell about terrorists and evildoers in general? There must be hundreds of good people for every evil one, so why fight evil on a limited basis? Let’s all go together and strike a powerful blow to evil once and for all.
Just like closet gays came out for their rights, closet pot smokers need to come out of their closet for their rights if marijuana is ever going to be legal in Kansas.
