Kansas dropped again in Forbes magazine’s annual ranking of the best states for business. Kansas came in at No. 25, down from No. 17 in 2013 and No. 13 in 2012. Kansas ranked high in regulatory climate (No. 12), but low in business costs (No. 31) and growth prospects (No. 39). Utah was best overall for business. Among neighboring states, Colorado was No. 5, Nebraska No. 7, Oklahoma No. 10 and Missouri No. 31. – Phillip Brownlee
