Opinion Line (Oct. 18)

I won’t complain about the coming construction at the dangerous I-235 interchange. Yet is it too much to ask to finish construction on one major thoroughfare before beginning on another? No wonder people are driving angry.

It appears that if you have a loaded gun in a carry-on bag at the Wichita airport, you may get your gun taken from you, then be on your way. That’s as lax as it can get – I hope.

Let’s remember that all rights are equal, and make women’s health services as easy to get as a gun or guns as hard to get as an abortion. Guns and abortions are both constitutional rights, so defend both or you are defending neither.

We don’t need more voters. We need more educated voters. If you vote based only on the party your parents and grandparents voted for, please stay home. That type of voting is what is ruining both our state and federal legislatures.

Donald Trump? No. Hillary Clinton? Nope. We’ve tried politics. Let’s try sports. Dayton Moore has done wonders with the Royals. Dayton Moore for president. Let’s go, Royals.

The Royals advanced in the playoffs with great efforts from Johnny Cueto, Alex Rios and Kendrys Morales. None was on last year’s World Series team, but they are worth every cent Kansas City spent on them.
