Opinion Line (Nov. 16)
We had a lawn chair fall over after the earthquake. I don’t know how long it will take, but we will rebuild.
I’m using my oil and gas royalty checks to pay my earthquake insurance premiums. How ironic.
There was no earthquake Wednesday. That was just the governor stamping his foot after hearing of the U.S. Supreme Court’s approval of same-sex marriage.
Gay marriage legalized and an earthquake the same day. Wake up, people. It’s a sin. Read Romans, Chapter 1.
The U.S. Supreme Court said same-sex marriage is legal in Kansas. Late in the afternoon, God shook the earth in Kansas and said to the ultra-right conservatives: “You must now deal with it and show the love.”
Brownback is going to balance the state budget with all the same-sex marriage license fees.

I am one of the 191,000 Kansas taxpayers who benefited by the Brownback tax cuts on business profits. Unfortunately for the now financially troubled state of Kansas, we did not use the savings to create new jobs. Is anyone surprised?
All of you who believe President Obama has been bad for America, as I do: Just wait until you see how badly Brownback destroys the state. This is from a self-employed person who pays no state income taxes but wishes we all had to pay our share.
If you’re worried about where the money will come from to fix streets, water, buses or anything else, it’s time to legalize marijuana and hemp. Our climate is great for growing both, and taxing them will help solve all issues.
The city needs money, so put a city tax on small businesses. They aren’t paying any state taxes.
To be a Republican is to care more about profits falling than oceans rising.
Since it’s now a known fact that Obamacare is and was a lie from the beginning and has now harmed more people than it allegedly was going to help, when are the Democrats who claim to be all for the little guy going to start the process of repealing it?
Only a Third World executive acts like a defiant child the way Obama does after having all of his policies rebuked in an election.
You’re no Jack Bauer, Mr. President.
I am praying for the six siblings featured in the Nov. 9 Eagle. Please keep us updated.
I was so proud to hear that Wichita ranks third in the nation for hot tub use. Let’s all consider the value of sharing your bathwater, so we can make Wichita No. 1.
When life gives you lemons, eat them. Don’t even bother with making lemonade. It’s too much work.
