Someone should remind the U.S. House of Representatives that “a house divided against itself cannot stand.”

We are inviting 10,000 Syrian refugees into our country? How many will be terrorists sneaking in, pretending they are refugees? Half? This whole thing is a farce.
Shame on The Eagle for misleading readers into surmising Muslim students demanded changes to the WSU chapel – later discovered not to be true. Shame on the former campus minister for advocating and overseeing the transformation of a chapel into a WSU multipurpose room.
Technology has advanced, but ethnic hatred and religious stereotyping have prevented solving our problems in a civilized way. Wichita should be an example of understanding, not an agitator of hatred.
If 90 people lost their lives daily from air travel, all you would hear are the howls from Americans demanding action from the government. Ninety Americans lose their lives daily from guns, and all you hear are crickets.
Those gun-free zone signs aren’t working. Do we need signs saying “Do not ignore the gun-free zone sign” posted next to the gun-free zone signs, to make sure the nut- cases obey? Will liberals propose free reading glasses for loonies, because clearly they just didn’t see the sign?
Our colleges and universities have enough problems with binge drinking and date rapes. Do we really want these kids to have guns?
Why don’t people have to prove citizenship to buy a gun? Voting is a constitutional right, just like owning guns.
Since when do prison inmates have a right to order from a menu? They should take what is offered, as long as it is fit to eat and wholesome, and be glad it’s not the rotten slop they might get in some countries. It’s a penal institution, not a resort.
To drivers who make an effort to move over when someone is merging from an on-ramp: Thank you.
