Kasich has different view on Medicaid expansion

A newsletter from Gov. Sam Brownback’s office said that expanding Medicaid to low-income Kansans would be “morally reprehensible.” But GOP presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich takes the opposite view. When people complain about his support of expanding Medicaid in Ohio, he tells them to read the Bible. “There’s a book,” Kasich said this week. “It’s got a new part and an old part. They put it together. It’s a remarkable book. If you don’t have one, I’ll buy you one. And it talks about how we treat the poor.” – Phillip Brownlee
