The so-called school gun-free zones are nothing more than wishful thinking by naive parents and politicians. Those silly signs are assurance for psychopathic killers that no one will shoot back.
The concept that the answer to gun violence is to add more guns makes about as much sense as saying that allowing more people access to drugs will cure the drug problem.
My neighbors said, “Thank God you are carrying a gun.” Sorry, neighbors, my gun is to protect myself, not you. You are on your own because you are a bunch of cowards.
Russian fighter aircraft that wandered into Turkish airspace were met with a swift response and a stern warning. The Russians slinked away with their tails between their legs. It is amazing what showing some strength can do.
Since the terrible accident where a AC-130 gunship killed at least 22 people in Afghanistan, do you suppose Obama will want to outlaw the gunship?
Here in this country, hard-liners in opposition to the Iran deal say that Tehran outfoxed us. In Iran, hard-liners say that they were taken to the cleaners by U.S. negotiators, including John Kerry. Wouldn’t the world be better off without these people?

Republicans have said that the federal government should not help with rebuilding states after natural disasters. I wonder if South Carolina’s Republican governor, Nikki Haley, feels that way now.
Regarding the flooding that’s happening back east: Bill Cosby is to blame.
Selecting “consultants” for Kansas couldn’t be easier: You just hire the ones who are going to tell you what you want to hear. And, oh, yeah – exempt the Legislature from their findings. What a joke. And what a small, blind, bunch of voters we are.
Once the lottery gets to $300 million and no one wins, they should give the money to the closest 300. If 300 people were to receive that money, it would have a much more beneficial effect than giving it to one person.
I believe in as few laws as possible, but I would support reform in the laws governing the importation and “ownership” of exotic animals as pets. People get creatures they’re not prepared to handle, and they get loose or get let go, and people get hurt. Ask Florida about caimans.
Just another benefit to smoking pot – this time it’s an increased chance of developing diabetes. Pot truly does no harm.
