Wichita’s problem is that more people are likely to follow the leader than be a leader.
How do you stop employers from discriminating against the long-term unemployed? Employers won’t hire us because we have been unemployed too long, but we have been unemployed for too long because employers won’t hire us.
I don’t want to bust anyone’s bubble, but you might as well know that dozens if not hundreds of students, faculty and staff already carry concealed guns on campus. Frankly, it’s the prudent thing to do.
The reason it’s a bad idea to allow everyone to carry a gun on campus can be summed up by the students in Oregon who were armed but didn’t intervene because they were afraid of being mistaken as the gunman and shot by police responding to the emergency.
People who kill or injure other people need to have a punishment to fear. It’s not the gun, or the knife, or the physical abuse that kills people; it’s people. Perhaps America should look at what other countries do with criminals.
Why would anyone who sees mental illness as the cause of gun violence be opposed to background checks?
“It’s the guns.” This is the limit of the thought process of Obama. How about the breakdown of a normal society in the U.S.? It’s acceptable to kill unborn children. Gangsters win music awards. The family unit is no longer anchored by a stay-at-home mother. Perverts are heroes.
I bet Obama will want to give someone millions of our tax dollars to protect the water resources on Mars.
Do you think they can get a message to Matt Damon to tell him where that water is?
The new conservative tea party folks may be principled, but they are some of the most selfish, heartless and xenophobic people I’ve ever seen.
I wonder why, ever since I turned 65, my doctors want to see me every few months. I guess at 65 we become a cash cow for all of the doctors. Do you think Medicare is the reason?
I recently attended a Christian concert. I saw several couples bringing their young kids and also their cans of beer. What’s up with that? Maybe they need to reread Ephesians 5:18 and Mark 9:42.
To the KSU fans still whining about bad officiating at Saturday’s game and the ensuing lame apology from the “institution” and paltry punishment for the perpetrators: I am so sorry you are offended by what you thought you saw on the field.
