Opinion Line (Nov. 12)
It must be confusing for same-sex married couples flying across America – being married, then not married, then married, then not married, as they cross through airspace of the various states beneath them.
Regarding “Kan. to ask U.S. court to uphold gay marriage ban” (Nov. 8 Eagle): Who is doing this asking? If Kansas is asking for this on behalf of all Kansas residents, why aren’t all Kansans allowed to vote on it?
Yes, I believe same-sex marriage will soon be legal in Kansas. Does that open the door? Why not make it legal to have as many wives or husbands as you want? Or to marry your dog? One thing leads to another. Read the Bible. It tells you how to live.
The results of the recent election bolster my confidence that intelligent life in the universe does exist.
Kansans rewarded the groups that robocalled us 10 times a day and the candidates who flooded our mailboxes with disgusting mailers. Thank you, Kansas voters, for guaranteeing that robocalls and political junk mail will be 10 times worse in 2016.
When will the pollsters realize why they are usually wrong? Most of us either hang up or don’t answer the phone.
So this election was a message to the Democrats. When Obama was elected twice, that was a message to the Republicans. When are we going to stop sending each other messages and go back toward the center? I think most Americans would prefer the middle.
The Republicans are in office – God is in his heaven and all is right with our world.

I love the sound of liberals crying.
I want to scream when I see adults out in the cold wearing jackets and coats while they carry tiny babies or toddlers with nothing on but summer attire. That’s child abuse, and I’m going to call the police on you this year.
I’d love to see Richard Crowson draw a cartoon of himself eating crow.
When you are 80 years old and your newspaper does not show up in the morning, it is like losing a loved one. It is amazing how much I miss it.
