Opinion Line Extra (Oct. 6)

Bernie Sanders said recently that America was founded on “racist principles.” Barack Obama has said Americans have racism in their DNA. These two statements confirm what we suspected all along: Liberals hate America from its very founding.

Muslims are the only group that are trying to kill us. Why would we want a Muslim president? No one wanted a German president during World War II.

Liberals scream the loudest against deportation, yet it’s liberal policies that are destroying the American family.

Obama, never missing a chance for a political cheap shot, said after the Oregon shootings said that our thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need more gun control – like in his hometown of Chicago, where that many people often are shot over a weekend despite draconian gun laws.

Why don’t the members of the House Select Committee on Benghazi save taxpayer dollars and just buy the books “Under Fire” and “13 Hours” to find out what happened?

From congressman Charlie Wilson’s covert war in Afghanistan (that set up that Taliban) to Bush’s idiotic foray into Iraq that set up the Middle East chaos, is it any wonder Russia’s Putin feels free to blow things up with the argument “I’m trying to oust the bad guys”? What’s good for the goose.

Interrogators know if a perp’s story is contrived, the perp won’t be able to accurately repeat it. Republican congressional perps use talking points attempting to stay on story but still can’t keep it straight one day to the next, because none of their story is tied to facts or reason.

If the government shuts down, federal employees receive no pay, but congressional representatives still get a paycheck. What gives? The last shutdown nearly sank the U.S. economy.

I love how the Republicans blame Obamacare for all insurance rate increases, when in fact the increases are due to the greedy Republican-run insurance companies so they can pay their CEOs nine-digit annual salaries.

Not much you can do about CEOs and their wages. Actors are just as bad. The three top stars of “The Big Bang Theory” each make $1 million per episode, which is equivalent to working 20 years at $50,000 per year. Talk about criminal.

No state legislator would vote to restrict themselves from running for office if they had ever worked for the state in any capacity or if any family members worked for the state, and yet that is exactly the type of restriction being proposed for school board members and candidates.

I never worry, but I often fret. State revenues fell short by $32 million in September. I am sad to inform the governor than the Wichita landfill is not large enough to contain the entire state when he and his minions in the Legislature finally trash it completely.
