Opinion Line (Oct. 6)

I wish the White House chef would release his recipe for crow. Obama and his administration seem to be eating a lot of it lately.

Hillary Clinton would be far past her Benghazi sins if she had admitted her fault up front.

Donald Trump still has my vote. Deport Mexicans, limit taxes – can’t get better than that.

The USA should let Russia have the same problem we have in the Middle East. It’s not a place to be until those people get tired of killing each other. Russia is making the same mistake George W. Bush made.

The FDA should investigate Diet Coke. According to the commercials, one drink and you begin to have massive hallucinations.

Those would-be voters under age 30 have a responsibility to provide proof of citizenship. Voting is a privilege that many people of the world do not have.

The Eagle editorial board seems to believe the under-30 crowd is now a disenfranchised minority being held down by Kris Kobach. If one is too busy or the application process is too complex or whatever, you probably are similarly unable to understand the issues enough to vote.

Gov. Sam Brownback is a true believer, and nothing will change his mind. He has been to the mountain and seen Charles Koch. Amen.

The dismal Kansas economy reminds me of the plot in “The Lion King,” in which Scar (Brownback) and his band of hyenas (Legislature) rule a kingdom that quickly becomes a wasteland. I hope there is a Simba out there to bring prosperity back to the kingdom.

Our state is in trouble, caused by Brownback’s bizarre “experiment” and other horrible ideologies that cut tax revenue, schools, arts, green energy, the middle class and the low income. We need a live, fully functioning adult in charge, not a zombie.

I want to see a side-by-side comparison of Sen. Michael O’Donnell’s voting record and the lobbyist meals he received. Does he think we are stupid?

Those new bicycle lanes on First and Second streets in Wichita are a disaster. How much tax money was wasted on these?

I’ve always been considerate to bikers – even without special lanes – but it’s a bit annoying that they often don’t comply with traffic laws. And they do all manner of shortcuts, and then shoot back into traffic.

The opportunity to receive bicycle lights was appreciated by this daily rider. Now if only the motorists would practice safety as well.
