Opinion Line (Nov. 6)
I believe most people voted against the sales tax because they don’t believe our leaders are using the funds that have been entrusted to them efficiently and following the will of the people. We want our leaders to have foresight in the budget process.
It looks like voters don’t like being threatened with higher rates. Separate the issues. Try again.
It seems that Kansans are all for progress, as long as it doesn’t involve change.
This election should be a message to all the liberals that they are the ever-decreasing minority, albeit a loud one. Now we need to get all of the big-government Republicans out of office and replace them with true conservatives.
Tuesday’s election was an accident waiting to happen. It happened.
The people have spoken loud and clear, and the overwhelming Republican Party victories show all is well in the Sunflower State.
How sad that the majority of voters in Kansas cannot think for themselves. They go to their polling location and just vote their registered political party without researching and considering who is actually the best candidate.
We survived eight years of George W. Bush; we will survive eight years of Barack Obama. God willing, we will survive four more years of Sam Brownback. I don’t know how, but we will.
The only good thing about Brownback being re-elected is that he will have to deal with his own mess.
A big win for the Bill Snyder-Pat Roberts team!
Well, Roberts won re-election, so I guess we’ll see him again in about six years.
The recent elections prove that The Eagle editorial board is as out of touch with Kansans as President Obama is with the entire nation.
The Eagle’s years-long trashing of statewide Republican officeholders had little effect in the end.
Brownback won! Hot dog! Four more years of Richard Crowson’s cartoons.
Thank you to all the Republican bashers who submitted to the Opinion Line and energized the Republican voting base in Wichita.
What are we teaching our children about the election? Play dirty and you win, or play fair and you lose.
