Either give out candy on Halloween or don’t, but don’t give out toothbrushes, political fliers and fruit in an attempt to force your views on children.

I had to hold my nose while voting. All the candidates stank. Not one said what they would do to make a difference. It would be so nice to have someone run who really cares about this nation, not their egos and power.

The plethora of objectionable ads and unwanted phone calls during the current campaign have caused me to hate politics and politicians. Thankfully, it’s over.

OK, now I understand. The U.S. Supreme Court gave the Kochs the right to fill up my trash can with their free speech.

The Koch brothers spend their energy and resources to build America, while George Soros uses his money to destroy it.

Do not tell me that corporations need lower taxes when they have all this money for the PACs and their political ads. The money spent could have been used for so many more jobs.

The most nervous guy in the country right now has to be Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He is about lose his palatial office and be moved down the hall to the broom closet.

Those whose voter registrations are in “suspense” are the same people who don’t get to the post office until April 16, who drive with expired tags, who shop for a turkey at noon Thanksgiving and always have late fees on payments. Procedures have consequences when prerequisites are ignored.

As a WSU basketball season ticket holder, I feel disenfranchised that I must show a valid photo ID in order to pick up my tickets.

Gas prices hit a four-year low. What is Obama up to now?

I appreciate that the local TV stations cover breaking news such as the plane crash. I do not appreciate it when they spend the next month telling us how great they were at covering it.

Anyone criticizing Brittany Maynard for her decision obviously has never had a family member afflicted with cancer and witnessed the suffering the person goes through.

Congratulations to the new Sunshine Children’s Home in Andover. I spent a short time in a children’s home when I was 5 and my birth mother no longer wanted me. I will always be grateful to the amazing staff. What a wonderful thing that more children now have a safe haven.
