Opinion Line (Sept. 14)
Democrats have blocked a vote on the Iran nuclear deal – no discussion, no vote. If they can’t jam it down our throats (Obamacare), they slip it in the back door. It is a very sad day for our nation.
How many Democrats will admit their support for Obama’s destitute agreement with Iran when things go bad, really bad?
Obama wants to let 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country on top of what we have already let in. I don’t know how many more Boston bombers we could be letting into the country. This is the Europeans’ responsibility. It’s in their backyard.
Obama is bringing 10,000 people to the U.S. who have known nothing but war and fighting their entire lives. Sounds like potential problems for our future.
The hubbub about Hillary Clinton’s e-mails is what Perry Mason would have described as “a fishing expedition by the prosecution.” Only this time, the fishing is being done by the Republicans.
Of course, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is correct about Donald Trump being a narcissistic buffoon. But what does that say about one-third of the Republican Party, of which he is a member, that thinks Trump would make a good president?
Some people are saying the latest Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage is not law. Yes, it is. It’s as much law as the ruling for Citizens United.
I have long flown the American flag on national holidays and other special occasions. I am a Vietnam-era Marine veteran, but no longer can I bring myself to display the flag over this amoral country; I simply respect it too much to disgrace it.
Anyone who believes the “Fair Tax” is actually fair is a Moran – oops, I meant moron.
How about insisting all gun owners attend militia meetings?
The family disapproves of the proposed Eisenhower memorial. Columnist George Will and many others call it a monstrosity. It would be yet-another tribute to bad taste to build this huge monument. Why does Bob Dole support it?
The new library as depicted in The Eagle is about the ugliest monstrosity I have ever seen. It looks like an abandoned warehouse.
Investing money in the new library is like investing money in eight-track tapes – antiquated and a waste of money.
The people defending Comcare against the actions of the Sedgwick County Commission obviously know no one who is being treated or managed by Comcare. The place is a bureaucracy full of problems.
