Trump still climbing in the polls
Nothing Donald Trump says – including insulting the appearance of rival GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina – seems to hurt him in the polls. In fact, a new CNN/ORC International poll shows Trump garnering the support of 32 percent of Republican and Republican-leaning respondents, up 8 points from an August CNN poll. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson had 19 percent support, up 10 points. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was third with 9 percent support, down 4 points. State polling also shows Trump with significant leads over the other GOP candidates. – Phillip Brownlee
