What Comcare problems need fixing?

The Sedgwick County Commission’s interest in privatizing the mental health care services offered by Comcare is puzzling. The majority commissioners say they want mental health care to be better and more efficient. But Comcare already has a good reputation and an excellent working relationship with local law enforcement. What problems need fixing? If the system can be improved, fine. But the county needs a better reason to upend an effective system that many people depend upon than an ideological belief in privatization. – Phillip Brownlee
