Opinion Line Extra (Oct. 30)

This is a tough election. It is hard to decide which candidates I dislike the least.

So Democrats are always against a candidate buying himself an elected position. Greg Orman puts more than $1 million in his campaign. That’s what I call trying to buy the position. But then Democrats are hypocrites.

Harry Reid is a bully. Please help us remove bullies from Washington.

How could any candidate stoop so low as to accuse his opponent of having to do with the court decision on the Carr brothers? That and the racy ads against Paul Davis are an embarrassment to all Kansans. Please, Governor, clean up your act.

Many people are saying that Paul Davis is a mystery. Sam Brownback is certainly no mystery. Brownback is just someone we desperately need to be rid of. Pat Roberts and Kris Kobach both fall in the same group.

I will be voting against the retention of any Kansas Supreme Court justice who thinks it is his business to decide on how much to spend on education.

Where are all the complaints about activist judges vacating the sentence for Scott Roeder?

The Democrats just can’t stand the truth. Davis would certainly appoint more liberal justices to the state Supreme Court than Brownback would, so why do Democrats accuse Brownback of being sleazy for stating the obvious truth?

Republicans are only pro-life until the kid is born. After that, the baby’s just another “taker.”

Voting “yes” for a sales tax because most other cities have sales tax is not a well-reasoned position, and more like getting your kid the latest toy only because most of his friends have the latest toy.

To all the aggressive drivers speeding and weaving through traffic in Wichita: I’ll see you again at the next red light.

I have never seen a redbelly snake, but I will care if it goes extinct. Who knows what creatures depend on it for survival, or what pests it might control? What this planet needs is an impact from a comet or asteroid to get rid of humans and restore itself.

The United States of America without a president – from Jan, 20, 1993, to Jan. 20, 2001, and from Nov. 4, 2008, to date. Sad situation.

It seems each week I open my newspaper and see page after page of delinquent taxpayers. How has this increased since the county moved to apply additional charges if you pay by credit card?

The Eagle is called a Democratic mouthpiece, but it prints an unending stream of uninformed, sneering, malicious opinions from conservatives, few of which would stand up to a fact check. There has to be a civilizing view to counter all that.
