Opinion Line Extra (Sept. 8)

I wonder how much Air Force One jet fuel Obama wasted going to Alaska to give a speech.

How much longer are the true citizens of this country going to tolerate Obama ignoring the Constitution, the law, Congress and the will of the people?

A national poll recently revealed 54 percent of Republican voters believe Obama is a Muslim, and 44 percent of them still believe he was born outside the U.S. With ignorance driving their decisions, it is amazing our state and our country function as well as they do.

Now that Donald Trump’s hair and Ted Cruz’s jowls are permissible and recurrent Opinion Line subjects, how about Obama’s jumbo ears, Hillary Clinton’s piano legs and Michelle Obama’s “junk in the trunk”?

Now that Trump has signed a pledge not to run as a third-party candidate, Republicans and their multimillion-dollar anonymous support groups are going to tear him apart. It was the threat of a third party that protected him.

Will Trump ever admit he doesn’t know everything? Will he ever admit when he is wrong about something important? Do we really want the presidency occupied by a spoiled brat who declares bankruptcy whenever it is convenient, changing wives like used cars whenever a new model is out?

There were the two innocent unarmed white news station people gunned down by a black man, and then the white innocent policeman gunned down in the Houston area allegedly by a black man. Was that racial profiling?

When people say that “black lives matter,” they are not saying that “only” black lives matter. That would be absurd. They are saying that black lives matter, too. Or is that too difficult a concept to grasp?

The Democratic National Committee recently decided to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Soon after, a movement march in Minnesota advocated killing cops. It is the left in this country that supports anarchy, not small-government conservatives.

Sen. Jerry Moran wants a 23 percent flat tax on everything we purchase. The tax on a $3 gallon of milk would be 70 cents. The tax on $30 of groceries would be $7. The tax on a $30,000 automobile would be $7,000. This would be a disaster for senior citizens.

Anyone who believes that certain tax legislation will “abolish the IRS” is living in a fantasy world. In the real world, governments require tax revenues, which means that there will always be some government agency tasked with collecting taxes and enforcing the tax laws.

For the benefit of elderly, bald, beer-bellied and Viagra-laden male Homo sapiens, “alternate lifestyle” should also define marriage as a “union between one man and a series of ever younger women.”
