Opinion Line (Sept. 8)
Murderers, rapists and child molesters have forfeited their right to life through their actions and despicable crimes. To not execute them is not “pro-life.” Executing murderers is absolutely an affirmation of the lives they took.
Gov. Sam Brownback telling other states it is time for them to follow Kansas’ lead is like telling shipbuilders they need to build more ships like the Titanic.
Wow, I read how much the Wichita superintendent’s salary and allowances are. No wonder the school district wants more money from the state. It is time to return to the good old days when there were county superintendents instead of every school district having one.
So Davis Merritt thinks that if I voted for County Commission Chairman Richard Ranzau I am just now finding out what he really believes and I should be feeling voter’s remorse (Sept. 1 Opinion). Well, I knew what he stood for when I voted for him and support his actions now.
