Has anyone considered that the tremors likely tied to the fracking wastewater disposal might be a blessing? It could be that allowing built-up pressure along fault lines to be released in small tremors is saving us from a catastrophic quake in the future.
Will someone please print out a new dictionary with words that we may use that will not offend someone?
I hear jobs are being taken away by illegal immigrants. Show me. Who will step forward and show me the jobs that native-born Americans can’t get because illegal immigrants took them?
Me for president. If elected, I will leave you alone.
Aren’t there enough distractions on the roads in Wichita without an LED truck flashing advertisements in our faces while traveling 70 mph down Kellogg? It startled me so much I almost dropped my iPhone. This is Wichita, people, not Las Vegas.
The final comma in a series is also known as the Oxford comma, referring to Oxford University. It is a mistake to assume that an “ivory tower genius” deemed it unnecessary. This academic will defend it until it is pried from my withered, cold and lifeless hands.
Don’t blame the ivory tower for banishing the Oxford comma; blame journalism. Removing the comma opens up a valuable space. After a year you might buy yourself an entire column inch.
It is not good journalism to interview newly bereaved parents, spouses and siblings moments after they find out their loved one is dead. It is a sickening intrusion into what should be a private time of grieving. Media, please stop.
Thank you, Leonard Pitts Jr., for speaking so eloquently to the “all lives matter” distortion (Aug. 24 Opinion). When I was younger, his views used to annoy me. My worldview has matured. Now this middle-aged white dude thanks The Eagle for continuing to publish his columns.

Black Lives Matter is not saying that “only black lives matter.” It’s a reaction to the perception that some people apparently have that black lives don’t matter all that much. If you truly believed that all lives matter, you’d focus on the inequality that Black Lives Matter is trying to address.
Wichita needs more seafood choices. When traveling I always search for a casual Joe’s Crab Shack. A great Wichita location is down by the river in the seldom-used Wichita Boathouse.
There are still good, honest people in Kansas. May God shower many blessings on the person who turned in my purse at the Andover Dillons.
