Securing the border is a good intention, but how about securing the state? It would be easier to find and remove the tens of thousands of illegal aliens living in Kansas than to try to get the federal government to secure the border.
In the vernacular common outside the Beltway, “amnesty” is anything short of illegal immigrants returning to their country of origin and getting into the back of the line to apply to immigrate here.
Bob Dole has admitted publicly that there would be no place for him in today’s Republican Party. So to see him ask for our support for Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts is disingenuous, and exemplifies what is wrong in politics today: toe the party line, even when you know it’s wrong.
Those who vote based on whether a candidate is pro-life need to consider that life will grow up needing adequate health care, education and employment. As important as it is to save a life, we need to make sure we are going to provide it a meaningful life.
I bet Americans for Prosperity and the NRA would be amazed how fast their political mailings go from my mailbox to my shredder. What a waste of money.
Attention, law enforcement unions and their charities: Do not bother calling me again asking for donations. I will not donate to a group that endorses a tax-and-spend smut-shop supporter.
We don’t know what the challengers will do. But we do know what the incumbents have done. Vote ’em out.
With your fake IDs, double voters and dead voters, the honest Republicans don’t have a chance.
The next time you want to complain about the necessity of presenting a photo ID to vote, think about the inconveniences our men in uniform live every day.
You’d think our “on your side” TV news outlets would all have fact-checking teams active so they could report what’s behind some of the outrageous political claims being made. But that would jeopardize the ad revenue, wouldn’t it?
Why isn’t The Eagle critiquing candidates’ ads? In previous years, ads were rated.
Dear local TV stations: I will always love you, but this political ad thing has come between us. Let’s take a break from our relationship and maybe get in contact after the election.
