Gov. Sam Brownback to Kansans: You’ve got another foot. Why not shoot it, too?
I have always admired former District Attorney Nola Foulston. Now I like and admire her even more after calling out Brownback for his lack of dignity in his campaign.
“Beyond disgraceful” is the same thing I thought of Foulston’s constant self-promotion in front of a TV camera during the Carr trial. Too bad she doesn’t have the same level of outrage over the recent Kansas Supreme Court decision.
Brownback’s Carr brothers ad is further proof the GOP gets really dirty when it feels it is losing power.
I saw several Paul Davis TV ads. Talk about a desperate candidate.
Tax less. Spend more wisely.
Thank you, Eagle, for printing the maps of each district. House District 98 should be held up as the model of gerrymandering. Can anyone justify such a ridiculous mapping of a voting district?
The endorsements in Thursday’s Eagle showed the transformation of The Eagle to a partisan outlet since its purchase by McClatchy. There is no reason to even read the paper if you are looking for a fair discussion of issues. It is more like the Pravda of the Kansas Democrat Party.
The Wichita Eagle: the official voice of the Democratic Party.
Endorsements by The Eagle or any other newspaper should not be allowed. They are supposed to report facts, not their opinions.
I wasted an entire morning trying to get car title work done at the Maize Road office. In three hours they took care of 15 people. An air of frustration filled the waiting room. If a private business treated people this way, it would be broke in no time.
Judging from a visit to the Butler County tag office at Augusta airport, catching up on paperwork is more important than waiting on customers.
Why did construction not begin until October on the Canal Route from 85th Street North to 29th Street North? Can they not work 10-hour days to get done before winter? It is stopping traffic at 6:45 a.m. daily. In Dallas they work all night to finish construction.
Sept. 28 came and went without even a mention of why I wear a black band on my wrist. It says, “We will never forget Deputy Brian S. Etheridge.” It has been five years since he lost his life in an ambush. You are not forgotten, Brian.
