Opinion Line Extra (Oct. 24)
It makes me wonder why the school districts need more money when they seem to have enough funds to sue the state. They are using my tax dollars to sue me, so to speak.
I don’t want a governor who would raise my taxes and an Obama buddy in the Senate. If we gave the teachers union all of our money, it still wouldn’t be happy.
The fact that Wichita abortion clinic operator Julie Burkhart is championing Greg Orman for Senate proves he is radically pro-abortion and out of touch with the majority of Kansans.
You can’t explain away Orman donating money to Democratic politicians.
If you think that we should fire Sen. Pat Roberts for not showing “up for work two-thirds of the time,” then you would surely agree that Barack Obama should be fired for the same reason.
Gov. Sam Brownback faces the same dilemma as all politicians who pontificate upon the economy. They really have no idea what they’re talking about. They have to make up the facts as they go along with fatuously positive statements that should never be taken seriously.
As a voter, I find it very difficult to separate fact from fiction in Brownback’s ads. Do the voters of Kansas want to elect someone as governor who continually plays with the truth?
Brownback has reached a new low by blaming the Kansas Supreme Court decision on the Carr brothers on Paul Davis. I guess he is trying to match Pat Roberts for having no class at all.
Who are these people who can’t look at their tax return and see that they’re paying less Kansas taxes now? They must have been taught math in another state.
“Why do we want the money? Because we want it! Give it to us! Now!” You figure out the authors of such a statement for yourself and vote “no” to their presumption Nov. 4.
Sales tax directly affects people of every income with every purchase, including children. State income tax is taken out of most people’s paychecks, which is relatively painless.
Where is the travel ban from West Africa to keep Ebola out? Send Obama a message. Vote Republican.
You’d think that President Obama was actually trying to hurt red-state Democrats.
The reason one would see only Obama bumper stickers on cars with or without expired plates is because nobody has a Romney (loser) or McCain (loser) sticker on his car – expired tags or not.
If a Wichita driver is taking the time to read the expiration date on other drivers’ license plates, I would prefer that driver pay more attention to his or her driving. It would make me feel safer.
On Tuesday gas in Kansas City was $2.88 per gallon. Why was it $2.98 in Wichita?
