The hue and cry for a travel ban to solve the Ebola crisis brings to mind the old adage that “anything is easy for the guy who doesn’t have to do it.”
This Obama government is going to be politically correct with the Third World countries even if we all have to die of Ebola. Never vote Democrat.
If the newly appointed Ebola czar who isn’t a doctor doesn’t work out, Obama can always reappoint him to become the golf czar.
I nearly fell off my chair when I read County Commissioner Richard Ranzau’s comment that it’s not government’s job to pick winners and losers. What does he think his party did when it gave 190,000 small businesses a pass on paying state income taxes the rest of us pay?
Hundreds of homeless children, closing the Judge Riddel Boys Ranch, and $5 million for elephants: I will remember my county commissioner’s priorities come the next election.
My apology to Paul Davis. I am ashamed of my party, which seems to have lost all sense of decency and ethics in its political ads. We don’t campaign on issues anymore but only offer smut to disparage the other guy. Who’s the real bad guy here?
According to the Fort Hays poll, only about 24 percent of Kansans think taxes may be too low. So it’s surprising the polls show the races are tight. If you don’t want higher taxes, why would you vote for the big-government guys – Davis, Orman and Jean Schodorf?
I’m still trying to explain to my out-of-state friends how Kathleen Sebelius was elected governor of Kansas. Please don’t make me have to explain how Greg Orman replaced Pat Roberts, thus securing Harry Reid’s control of the Senate for several more years.
The people are totally uninformed who are saying Roberts hasn’t done anything as senator. I have followed his time in office and he has worked tirelessly for the people of Kansas. Get a clue. Kansas needs him.
Apparently Major League Baseball thinks no kids watch anymore. Blanketing games with sex medicine ads necessitates using the DVR to skip all ads – or to pause to have “the talk” with kids too young for it. Maybe the other advertisers should ask for some money back.
If we are walking outside, 10 feet-plus apart, with no wind, and I can smell your cologne or perfume, you are wearing too much.
