Wichita senators near top in ‘Fix Stupid’ contest

Three Wichita-area lawmakers were among the top five vote-getters in a contest held by It’s Time to Fix Stupid, a political action committee spearheaded by Wichitan R.J. Dickens that aims to “fix stupid” in Kansas politics. Republican Sens. Susan Wagle and Michael O’Donnell of Wichita and Ty Masterson of Andover were ranked third through fifth in results from online voting announced this week. The top vote-getter was Sen. Mary Pilcher-Cook, R-Shawnee, followed by Rep. J.R. Claeys, R-Salina. – Phillip Brownlee
