Opinion Line (Aug. 22)
When will you all understand that Democrats and Republicans are both ruining this country, and have been for nearly a century? We should be on our third or fourth revolution by now.
Claiming to be a conservative and then saying you support Donald Trump for president is like claiming you’re a vegan, except for the bacon and eggs you have for breakfast every morning and the steak you have for dinner every night.
Wake up to Trump and his presidential run. Sure, he is saying the right things, but check him out before you vote. He is an impostor. President Obama said the right words also, and look at our economy now.
Ben Carson wants to use drones to fire missiles at illegal immigrants crossing the border. What could possibly go wrong?

Long hours contribute to stroke and heart disease? That must be the most unsurprising scientific finding of the year. Tell all those “high-achieving professionals” out to “create the future” to dial back on the hours, or they won’t live long enough to see the future they’re supposedly creating.
The flower garden display at Linwood branch library is so beautiful. Thank you.

I was really surprised recently when I met a lady who actually admitted she voted for Sam Brownback. Not a relative, thank goodness.
Nothing worse than seeing an obese woman dressed as if she were skinny.
Please show some courtesy when ordering at a drive-through. It is not the place to order for your family of six, your little darling’s soccer team or 10 people back at the office. Have consideration for the little old lady behind you who just wants a burger and a Coke.
We were looking forward to opening the windows on our house Wednesday overnight to pull in that nice, cool air, but thanks to the stench overwhelming our neighborhood from the fire pit belonging to one inconsiderate neighbor, that didn’t happen.
Shouldn’t there be more mosquitoes than there are this year? What gives?
