Opinion Line Extra (Aug. 21)

I cannot believe that the rough, tough and bulletproof billionaire complained about the moderators at the Fox News debate. The front-runner should expect and be ready for tough, unfair questions.

I do not like Donald Trump. I dislike many of the Republicans more and I dislike all of the Democrats more than Trump and any of the Republicans. I’m not sure where I fit in, but I’m wondering how many others among the sheeple fit in with my attitude.

Obama did not withdraw American forces from Iraq; it was Bush who did that when he signed an agreement with Iraq to have all U.S. forces gone by Dec. 31, 2011. Obama simply complied with that agreement.

The Kansas Turnpike has automated payment at the El Dorado exit. It now takes longer to pay and a job was eliminated. Republicans eliminate jobs to create more profits, resulting in more poor people and more crime.

If you drive through high water and ruin your car, it’s your fault for being stupid.

A warning that there are many people on the roads trying to kill you. Driving 323 miles, we saw 58 people texting while driving and many more talking on their phones.

People want the government to support all these programs and charities because they don’t want to take personal responsibility to provide the charity or financial assistance themselves. They want someone else to do it. If we all stepped up and helped others, we wouldn’t need all these programs.

John Bardo, WSU’s president, must improve his job performance. His gaffe in not getting input from student leaders about higher fees was a terrible mistake, made worse because it was not his only error in recent months. Yes, the university does exist for the students.

The Black Lives Matter protesters need to get a new poster boy. When the facts were in, the Ferguson police were vindicated and Michael Brown was shown to be a thief and a thug who attacked a police officer and died as a result of his own actions.

A California town appointed “undocumented citizens” to its city council. If we’re trying to turn America into a lawless Third World country, this is a good start. Are we fully unhinged as a thinking people? It’s not yet too late, but close. We must restore adult sensibility to our governance.

So God is punishing California for its sinful ways with drought? Whom is he punishing in all the areas that are flooding? If he’s responsible for one, he’s responsible for the other.
