How could anyone say a county health program such as immunizations is largely bureaucratic and unnecessary? As a taxpayer I’d be relieved knowing all children are immunized. Everyone’s health benefits.

Conservatives want every baby to be born. But if their parents are not responsible, should the babies be left to founder? Conservatives don’t want to pay taxes to support the poor and infirm, but what are they to do? What if you are physically or mentally unable to work?

We voted that our local government would reduce spending, and that’s what I expect it to do. If not, your days as my representative will be over when I vote again. This includes school board officials.

A car is a 4,000-pound weapon. It is used to run over people and crowds of people. Cars transport people with guns. Cars should be treated like guns when you place blame on an object used to kill people. Let’s get all cars off the road.

Does anyone keep track of how many of the crimes being committed in the area are committed by people who have moved here from another state?

To my fellow conservatives: Donald Trump is a loud-mouthed liberal windbag, and that’s all.

No, I didn’t happen to vote for John McCain, but I never dreamed I’d hear an American, or anyone else for that matter, attempt to diminish the service and amazing sacrifice of a brave war hero like McCain.

There were Americans killed during the 13 attacks on U.S. embassies and installations during Bush’s administration. None was an ambassador, but do their lives count any less? Certainly not to their loved ones. All lives matter, not just certain lives.

If conservatives say they are not planning for war in Iran, why has Jeb Bush hired several of his brother’s presidential advisers, some of whom advised him about war in Iraq?

Yes, let’s have the “top scientists” tell us how to handle Iran. They are the ones who got the global freezing, global warming and, now, climate change started.

I know we’re all busy, but if you want the truth, take the time to research. Don’t rely on sound bites, Twitter and the news to know what’s really happening. Laziness is going to be our downfall as a nation.

If you have a junior high age child or younger out past 8:30 p.m., or if your child is out of control in public, you need to be fined and have an adult take your child and you to the bathroom and paddle you both.

I like the Cox commercial where the husband says it’s a hobby, and the wife responds that her sales on the Internet are a business. That is humorous, but I wonder if she pays any income tax on that.
