Opinion Line Extra (Aug. 11)

When I saw Jeb Bush on the Republican question-and-answer show, I was instantly reminded of what his daddy and brother did. When they left office, we were left with a recession. I have had enough of the Clintons and Bushes.

It’s not just that Donald Trump doesn’t have time for political correctness. He doesn’t have time for or value human decency.

Ross Perot performed in 1992 to get Bill Clinton elected. Now Trump, who learned how to act on “The Apprentice,” is putting on a masterly performance to get Hillary and Bill back in the White House. It’s the Clintons, stupid.

Obama criticized people in both parties for opposing his Iran agreement, asking how they can oppose something they haven’t even read. That is how health care reform got passed. No one read it, and look at what it is doing to us.

Obama and his fellow Democrats want to divide everything by political views, even caring about others. Well, let’s include common sense and explain to me why Democrats have none.

The USA has basically two political parties. Are you a Republican or a socialist?

I’ll tell you the difference between a socialist and a Democrat. A socialist thinks the government should own and run everything. A conservative thinks the rich and powerful should get away with everything. A Democrat thinks some things should be held in check so we don’t abuse the less powerful.

The person who said they couldn’t tell a socialist from a Democrat would know, if they took a second to think, that it’s all socialism. You shouldn’t throw around names when you don’t have a leg to stand on.

So Republicans are control freaks? What do Democrats control? They control your local schools; federal and big-city governments; unions; your vehicle’s design and gasoline; your home, appliance and clothing materials; your food and backyard pond; and, of course, health care.

An Environmental Protection Agency cleanup crew spilled 3 millions gallons of toxic waste into the Animas River. Another day, another massive blunder by our bloated federal government. And this is the agency that wants to control much more of our lives? Great.

It’s obvious to everyone in the country what caused the Louisiana movie theater shooting. It was the movie and Amy Schumer. I think the movie and any likeness of Schumer should be banned in this country.

Even showing anger about the illegal killing of a lion is not tolerated by the right wing. One wonders where their intolerance will end, and when.

Let’s all remember to pray for the young man who accidentally hit Kaiser Carlile with the bat. Also remember to pray for the Carlile family at this time of a great loss.
