Charles Koch’s comparison of his political network to those who fought for civil rights and other “freedom movements” didn’t go over well with some. Speaking Sunday to a gathering of about 450 wealthy conservatives at a California luxury resort, Koch said he and others are “seeking to right injustices that are holding our country back,” the Washington Post reported. Koch noted his support of criminal-justice reform. But others noted how Koch-backed groups oppose the minimum wage, Medicaid expansion and other programs aimed at helping the poor.
