The fact that Donald Trump is rising high in the Republican Party tells you all you need to know about the Republican Party.

To the person implying we couldn’t get along without Mexicans to build houses and pick vegetables: We did it for hundreds of years without them. We don’t need illegals here to do anything. They should stay home and turn their own countries around. We don’t need their help.

Obama goes to Africa and tells them what they are doing wrong and what they should be doing. Did the Mrs. go to tell them what they should and shouldn’t eat? Did Biden go to tell them to give up their guns?

Those complaining about the deal to stop Iran from getting the bomb have never said what they would do to stop Iran. They have no idea how to stop Iran. All they do is stand on the sidelines and throw rocks. If you have an idea, let’s hear it.

It is sad to hear about the business of killing healthy wild animals like Cecil for sport, but the lack of coverage of the slaughter of babies in the womb and the selling of body parts is even more disgusting. It just doesn’t sell like the animal stories do.

There are those who claim that the notion of fetal pain during an abortion is junk science. They think that way because of the hunk of stone inside their own chest that makes it impossible for feelings of any kind. In the end, God will judge us all.

“There have been two deaths in Wichita this year as a result of impaired drivers, police officials said. There were 10 in all of 2014.” How many have there been as a result of sober drivers? Many more would be my guess.

This Sedgwick County Commission will impose everything that nobody wants so that we will fight one another over bread crumbs, and work for private industries. Checkmate, people.

Since the three county commissioners score so low in “works well with others,”maybe it’s time for voters to seriously consider an initiative to combine city and county governments. Wyandotte County did, saved a lot of duplication funds, and encouraged tremendous development.

Hey, all you people in Sedgwick County wanting to spend money we don’t have: Why not donate your cash to the county to pay for the special-interest wants? They will accept cash or check. I don’t have it. Maybe you can pay my share.

“Restaurant grind” black pepper is much coarser than normal so the shakers don’t get cloudy when used. That’s also why you can never get pepper out of a restaurant shaker. Mystery solved.

With the legalization of same-sex marriage, are we going to have to rewrite Genesis to include the story of Adam and Steve?
