Convoy of Hope a huge success
Thanks are due the organizers, volunteers and businesses that made Saturday’s Convoy of Hope such a success – providing groceries, shoes, school supplies, haircuts and some free medical services to more than 8,000 needy people. The annual event is spearheaded by Bethel Life Center and Convoy of Hope, a faith-based international humanitarian relief organization. But it wouldn’t be possible without an army of supporters, which included more than 1,000 volunteers, 75 businesses and organizations, and about 50 church partners. One mother of two children expressed the gratitude felt by many who received help: “It’s really a blessing.” – Phillip Brownlee
