Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., isn’t on the ballot on Nov. 4, but the latest Public Policy Polling survey of Kansas suggests he has some work to do between now and 2016. Of those Kansas voters polled, 40 percent said they approved of Moran’s job performance, while 32 percent weren’t sure and 29 percent disapproved. That compares with job approval numbers in the same poll of 37 percent for Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., and 38 percent for Gov. Sam Brownback, who are both in tough re-election fights. But if 91-year-old Bob Dole ran again, he’d be a shoo-in, at least judging from the 67 percent who said they have a favorable opinion of him (including 49 percent of Democrats). – Rhonda Holman
