I am surprised that President Obama mislabeled ISIS as JV. Considering the members of his administration, he should definitely know what junior varsity looks like.

Say what you will about Obama’s incompetence. At least he got a gallon of gasoline below $3.

Great – now when we pay less at the pump, it’s bad for the rich, greedy oil nations and companies. It’s hard to feel bad for someone still making a lot of money. Set the oil price for the whole year and leave it. Then budget yourself.

Sending American troops to Africa to help stop the spread of Ebola? What is our president thinking?

Both parties agree that we have congressional gridlock, yet we want to send the same politicians back to Washington. Democrat or Republican, we need to send new people to Washington to represent us. Otherwise we’ll get the same results, and our country will continue to suffer.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is running ads against Greg Orman. What does that tell you? Orman would be bad news for everyone.

It was clear that there was only one gentleman debating in the KSN Orman/Roberts televised Senate debate, and it was not Pat Roberts.

Roberts’ criticism of Orman’s “accumulation of wealth” made me stop and think about Roberts and his accumulation of wealth. He has had his hand out for decades.

The national Democratic Party committee could not find a good candidate, so it went stealth and brought forth – now don’t laugh – “independent” Greg “whatever you want, Harry” Orman. Unctuous and unflinching, he continues the charade.

I won’t vote for a candidate who has nothing to offer but to trash his opponent.

Kansas politics are always entertaining at election time, and people all over the country are getting a laugh out of it. It’s like watching a reality-comedy show with characters combined from several series like “South Park,” “The Three Stooges” and “Jackass. Mostly “Jackass.”

As a teacher with more than 30 years’ experience, I take offense with Gov. Sam Brownback’s ad calling for the removal of struggling teachers. Teaching is an art, and all good teachers struggle at one time or another to perfect their art. Maybe we should remove a struggling governor instead.

If you’re voting for Mike Pompeo, it only makes sense for you to also vote for Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts.

The ridiculous ad about sex, drugs and politicians is a really sickening example of desperation. Now we have another pharmaceutical ad that is pornographic, on TV when children are watching. Is there no limit to some folks’ depravity?

This country is a republic, not a democracy, founded by Ben Franklin and the boys. The word “democracy” is not in the Constitution of the United States. That is why the U.S. government never does anything by accident. It is planned.
