Independent U.S. Senate candidate Greg Orman has said that, if elected, he would caucus with whichever party had a clear majority. And in the event of an even split, he would caucus with the party most willing to work on the tough problems facing this nation. But it is difficult to imagine Orman wanting to caucus with Republicans given the millions of dollars they are spending trying to paint him as an unscrupulous businessman and a liberal lackey for President Obama. Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus also made clear recently that Orman would not be welcome, telling a Kansas City television station “it is not possible” that Orman would caucus with the GOP. – Phillip Brownlee
