Regarding the case of Sandra Bland, which began for not using a turn signal when she changed lanes: I’d like to know how many tickets the officer involved wrote in the past year for not using a turn signal when changing lanes.
Here we go again. A hotheaded state trooper with a year on the job and “everyone must bow to me” attitude. This lady did nothing to be treated like a criminal. But the officer thinks he is superior to the taxpayers he works for. He deserves a harsh punishment.
It’s pretty sad when the general public has to stand guard at military recruiting stations because our government won’t let them have weapons inside. It probably won’t be long before all military has its rifles, etc., taken from them so we won’t offend any foreigners.
Regarding mass shootings, we are overlooking the elephant in the room: The National Rifle Association has caused the proliferation of firearms and has kept gun laws toothless.
I am constantly amazed that people think passing another law limiting law-abiding people’s access to guns will magically end mass murders and psychopathic killers, who have already violated nearly every law on the books.
Gov. Sam Brownback told us that the sun is shining in Kansas, and now Westar Energy wants to take ownership of it. No more free sun for Kansans.
One method for avoiding water or flood damage to vehicles is for Wichita drivers to slow down when the streets are full of water. Plowing through water and leaving plumes of spray may be fun, but if damage occurs don’t blame the city or county for your stupidity.
How ingenious. Release a proposed budget that adversely affects the entire county only two days before the “last-up day,” thereby basically preventing public input. Way to go, County Commission.
My concerns regarding the Sedgwick County budget are whether Commission Chairman Richard Ranzau has a brain and if he knows how to use it. It’s clear he has no clue of what is important to the citizens. Let’s start a recall. Now.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t appear to be truly serious about winning the presidential race. Could she really be in the race to only recoup enough campaign contributions to break even on her previous campaign debts?
It appears there are people working overtime to make sure Hillary will not be nominated, let alone become president, and those people have nothing to do with the Republican Party.
Anyone who believes the goal of libertarians is to do away with all government is too stupid to vote. Or anything else, for that matter.
We most enjoy the Opinion section of The Eagle. Picking out the Fox crazies is truly delightful.
