Opinion Line (July 25)

The president said recently that Americans have racism in their DNA. I think Obama has Marxism in his DNA.

Israel just needs to go ahead with an airstrike and take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities without telling Obama.

My 40-year-old son said a few years ago there will be no Social Security when he retires. I thought that our government wouldn’t let that happen. I guess I was wrong, and the first to be hurt will be the disabled. Will the retirement for politicians be affected?

Want to stop disability fraud? Hold accountable the doctors and lawyers who help these people. After a few of them get jail time and large fines for their part of the fraud, you will see a dramatic decrease in these cases.

Though I agree being stopped for not signaling a lane change is a bit silly, being combative with the police is even sillier. When a cop tells you to do something, just do it and you’ll be on your way. If you feel wronged, you can always complain later.

Why risk being one video away from become a national symbol of overzealous policing? Cops need to “depolice” for a while and see if all those sheeple miss them. Once people realize cops are the only thing between the chaotic hordes and civilization, maybe they will stop being so critical.

Some people are unbelievable. They think the Texas police video is edited but there’s no way the Planned Parenthood videos can be.

If Planned Parenthood of Kansas has nothing to hide, why be concerned about an investigation into its practices?

Washington and Topeka are broken, but we can change them. It’s time to put the people of the U.S. and Kansas before party and ideology.

Now if the city of Wichita would stand against the Westar Energy rate request.

Why does Westar need a rate increase? My bill was $250 more this month than last, and I doubt if Westar did any more work for it.

All claims for flooding repairs to vehicles should be paid by the city, county or state – not by the vehicle owners. Streets should be safe for everyone, even for acts of God. Are they are not repaired in a timely manner?

With all the recent rains and little being done to collect the excess water, I think of all that potential drinking water going to waste.

In the land of the perpetually offended, today’s target is, well, Target. It’s selling a T-shirt that says “Trophy.” My guess is those complaining about it probably don’t qualify.

People don’t seem to understand it when I tell them they’re poor because I’m rich.
