You can drown on the Kansas Turnpike? Shame, shame, shame.

A six-month permitting process to expand the culvert where that young man drowned? What a waste due to government overregulation. A tragedy that never should have happened.

All the unnecessary junk that parents are told to buy so their kids will be equipped for school is ludicrous. For all this junk, we still have stupid kids. The junk is all made in China. I wouldn’t put it past the Chinese to have made up the list.

Allowing unlicensed teachers is our state’s way of keeping the population dumb enough to keep the current breed of politicians in office.

We here in Kansas condemn San Francisco for being a sanctuary city. We have sanctuary cities in Kansas. Call your representatives and tell them to fix this.

Those Opinion Line contributors who oppose any attempt at peace were ready with their knee-jerk insults about the agreement just completed with the Iranians. One thing for sure – they had not read a line of it.

Is the president a subversive? His pastor believed that God should damn America, his wife was never proud to be an American, and his goal was to “fundamentally” change the United States. Add in the Iran treaty, scrapping our military and record debts, and I’d say “yes.”

Say you are the president and you just learned that the Chinese communist government is going to provide Iran with nuclear weapons. As a right-winger, what are you going to do about it?

History does repeat itself. On Oct. 21, 1994, the Clinton administration signed a nuclear treaty with North Korea that failed and broke down in 2002. Now Obama has a treaty with Iran that is worse than Clinton’s.

There are two very low-quality presidential candidates I will never vote for: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

I can’t believe how stupid Republican voters are to put Donald Trump No. 1 in the polls. Do you really want this lunatic for president? Then again, Kansas Republican voters put in office Tim Huelskamp, Sam Brownback and Kris Kobach. You’ve got to be kidding.

Maybe Donald Trump is right about John McCain. Would a real war hero have picked Sarah Palin for a running mate for a critical election?

Amazing – the city spent all that money years ago to make Seneca passable from 34th Street north to Pawnee. It didn’t work. You have to have more drains, not a higher center of the street. Quit wasting money. Call in the pros. Quit giving the contracts to buddies.

Someone contributed a comment about Okies and Confederate flags and no class. I’ll have you know that when I moved from Oklahoma to Kansas, I upped the average IQ in both states.
