Poll finds Reid’s war on Kochs not working

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has dedicated himself to condemning Charles and David Koch of Wichita-based Koch Industries, mentioning the big GOP donors in 22 Senate floor speeches in just the first half of the year and even calling them “un-American.” But the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey suggests Reid’s efforts haven’t done much to raise the billionaire brothers’ profile, let alone turn the public against them. Only 27 percent of those polled had a negative view of the Kochs, up from 21 percent in April, while 47 percent drew a blank on their names. But 39 percent had a negative feeling about Reid, while 30 percent didn’t know him.
