Opinion Line (Oct. 15)

The politicians and celebrities (Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie) coming to Kansas to influence our vote offend me. They have never lived in Kansas, don’t pay taxes in Kansas and don’t give a hoot what happens here. I wish they would stay home.

I get confused watching the GOP political ads. Gov. Sam Brownback’s ads keep telling us how good things are and Sen. Pat Roberts’ ads keep telling us how bad things are.

We have all seen what a liberal president and a conservative Congress get done – nothing. So what will a liberal governor and conservative House and Senate get done? That’s right – nothing.

With the Soros family giving a fundraiser in New York for Greg Orman, is there any doubt where Orman’s priorities are?

A fundraiser is being held for Orman hosted by Jonathan Soros, son of George Soros. Do we really want Democratic billionaires deciding the direction of Kansas politics?

What will Roberts do that he hasn’t had a chance to do in 33 years? Nothing. He’s fighting tooth and nail to stay on the gravy train. Let’s give him the big boot.

The inevitable has happened – the big money is overwhelming the Davis and Orman campaigns’ TV time. What is so sad is that it will work on the average Kansas voter.

Our forefathers fought so all Americans can be free in all forms. There are certain compromises that have to be made in the name of freedom, and one will have to be that each American, gay or straight, has the same legal rights and freedom to marry whom they choose.

I’m beginning to wonder what the bigger crime is – the horrific things the Carr brothers did, or the unscrupulous lawyers and complicit judges who are robbing the taxpayers blind “working” their case and causing the victims’ families unnecessary pain and grief.

When Democrats try to blame Republicans for Ebola, I want to vote for Democrats even less.

Why doesn’t the CDC take people suspected of having contact with the Ebola virus to a central location in the U.S. where the doctors and nurses have been trained to handle this crisis?

What can you do about Ebola? Make things right with the Lord.

If the climate were not constantly changing, wouldn’t we still have dinosaurs roaming the Earth?

If you don’t think people are animals, visit an airport restroom.
