Opinion Line (July 18)

Why didn’t WSU inform the public that Lake Afton Observatory was in danger of being closed? How about WSU alumni coming together to save it? Maybe WSU could use some money from the increases in tuition and parking. County Commission, City Council and Wichitans: Speak up.

In a convenience store at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, I saw men and women taking breaks from their backbreaking work, covered with sweat and dirt, grabbing cold drinks. I saw others, with pillow marks on their faces, still in their pajamas and house shoes. What a great country.

We need more intellectual people in this country, not gun-toting flag-wavers.

The Iran nuclear agreement may be a very good deal, but with buffoon Obama promoting it, and pathological liar Benjamin Netanyahu and congressional hyenas like Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham trashing it, how are ordinary Americans to know what to believe?

Neville Chamberlain, 1938. Barack Obama, 2015. No difference.

Our senior citizens in nursing homes and assisted living facilities deserve “made from scratch” chicken soup, not the thick, institutional, canned type that so many try to get by with.

TV stations tell people to seek shelter during a tornado, but then show the video from people taking pictures of the tornado.
