With Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, you need to remember that after you see a very bright light, depending on how close you are, you will only have from a split second to a couple of seconds to curse him before you are incinerated.
The Iranians took control, and the rest of the world sat and watched them negotiate the deal of modern times. Haven’t we been down this deeply rutted road before? I was amazed as John Kerry asked, “What’s the alternative?” The alternative is: No deal, guys.
So, some Opinion Line contributors think the president negotiated the Iran nuclear deal. Wow. Ignorance and superstition run rampant in Kansas.
If Obama and Kerry need jobs when they leave office, Ringling Bros. can use a couple of clowns.
All our congressmen who are so beholden to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, putting his beliefs over our American president, should just consider moving to Israel since that is where their true loyalties seem to be.
Rep. Mike Pompeo should shut his trap on Iran. We’ve seen the outcome of his wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Give peace at least one day before dismissing it.
Pompeo is dead wrong about GMO labeling. People have the right to know what their food is made of. He should represent the people who elected him, not the corporate interests padding his campaign accounts.
Congress, nudged by business interests, may allow more foreign workers into the country to, in some cases, replace American workers. It’s time to open up congressmen’s jobs to foreign workers. They will do the job better both economically and in results.
It looks to me like our City Council is going out of its way to eliminate spending on our streets. Anything that comes up takes priority. Now it’s new buses for a system that operates at a loss. I wonder what’s next.
It’s going on five months for a 2-mile stretch of Maple Street in Goddard to be completed. Days go by with no work done. I’m tired of driving 5 miles for a 2-mile trip due to detours. Come on – get it done.
Sadly, Lake Afton Observatory is closing. Sure, you can view thousands of images of celestial objects on the Internet, but you haven’t really seen them, have you? It’s like viewing someone’s vacation photos, and how satisfying is that? Come on, corporate sponsors, inspire imagination.
I was quite impressed by the article (July 4 Home & Garden) about our new county extension agent, Matt McKernan. He’s certainly well qualified for the job.
