If the GOP adds any more presidential candidates, they will be able to have their own political party baseball team called the Do-Nothings.
Beware – Donald Trump is a warmed-over, big government, moderate Democrat.
If Trump wants to get elected, he needs to quit saying he will create jobs. Doesn’t he know almost half of the people who voted in the past two elections were on entitlements and not concerned about working?
Jeb Bush whined that President Obama used too many big words. When did intelligence become a negative trait of leadership? This explains the GOP destruction of the public school system.
What a disappointment to go into the new terminal at Eisenhower Airport and not find a decent place to eat with a departing guest before the security gate. We had to make do with a hot dog and yogurt. Shame on the planners and those who approved the plan.
How lame is the commercial celebrating the new airport? Wichita is the Air Capital, but you wouldn’t know it by how weakly the city celebrates this important piece of its history.
As a declared free state that lost many lives in the struggle with a slave state next door, Kansas is the last state that should ever honor the Confederate flag. That Southerners moved here for employment doesn’t justify display of a flag in memory of treasonous behavior. Keep it out.
The Confederate flag is not offensive. What should be and is offensive especially to Christians is any business or organization that speaks or writes the words “Christmas in July” and is pushing Christmas items for sale now.
I guess if a woman’s name is Dixie, she will have to think about changing it so as not to offend.
Ban the rainbow flag.
The Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage is not “the law of the land.” The court may have declared gay marriage constitutional (which was itself an unconstitutional action), but only Congress can pass a law.
A letter writer said Christians need to help guide homosexuals out of their “unfulfilling, sad, unhealthy lifestyle.” How dare he assume we are all those things? I am gay and I am none of those things. Neither am I unforgiving, judgmental nor trying to impose my narrow-mindedness on others.
I have to chuckle when right-wing reactionaries expound on the moral distress that might be felt by florists, cake decorators or caterers if asked to provide services for gay weddings. Maybe it’s a stereotype, but the florists, cake decorators and caterers I know would likely be more than delighted.
