The It’s Time to Fix Stupid political action committee and Secretary of State Kris Kobach’s PAC are back in good legal standing, the Hutchinson News reported. It’s Time to Fix Stupid, which is spearheaded by Wichitan R.J. Dickens, aims to “fix stupid” in Kansas politics – a tall order. But it ran afoul of state campaign finance laws that require unaffiliated PACs to use names indicating who’s involved or the cause the PAC is advocating for. In reporting on the PAC, The Eagle also discovered that Kobach’s PAC, Prairie Fire, violated the same requirement. Both PACS are now affiliated with their own foundations, which will satisfy state rules. – Phillip Brownlee
