Kansans, rejoice. The tax code states that citizens “shall” pay tax on income, property, purchases, etc. Now that Kansas judges have redefined “shall” to mean “only if you want to,” taxes are optional.
Someone really should explain to Gov. Sam Brownback that legislatures can pass laws and voters can approve constitutional amendments, but it is courts that determine if those laws and amendments are in fact legal.
If teachers spent as much time eliminating bad teachers as they have trying to get rid of Brownback, maybe our kids’ test scores wouldn’t be dropping. I taught for nine years and saw teachers who had no place in front of your kids.
I entered Brownback’s “road map” in the GPS system of my car. Two days later, it is still saying “recalculating,” and I can’t get it to stop.
Paul Davis said he will increase education spending if elected governor but refuses to say where he will get the money. Show me the money.
Davis was in a strip club? Big deal. What men have not been there? This should get him more votes.
If you like taxes and strippers, vote for Paul Davis.
With tax abatements and government contracts, Boeing couldn’t break-even building a military plane in Wichita. After Brownback has gut education, the arts and infrastructure, why would any company relocate here?
Obamacare. That’s all we hear from politicians running for return to office. Don’t any of them have a thought about bettering the conditions of life for citizens?
Obama has yet to come up with a policy to protect our country from the Ebola virus, as he is hard at work trying to find a way to blame George Bush for the outbreak.
I’ve got to admit that the talk of a worldwide Ebola epidemic has taken my mind off ISIS beheadings and mass executions of Christians.
A remodeled Union Station would have made a beautiful new Wichita library.
Jeff Longwell is running for mayor. He said he has solutions for Wichita. But he has been on the City Council since 2007. Why hasn’t he already implemented these? Have they just recently come to him in a dream?
Is there a difference between being broke and being extremely broke?
