Fixing the Wichita streets is more important than having a sales tax strictly for the bus riders. How many people would ride the bus after 7 p.m.?
Let’s tax only the upper 20 percent of the wage earners in America. Everyone else gets either a pass, or a pass and free stuff. Great business model.
Aside from having a stranglehold on gullible Americans, and pulling the strings on generously funded lawmaking puppets, the National Rifle Association surely has a positive side. I just haven’t seen it yet.
It seems the government wants to start a race war, with the president using the N-word and the complaining about a flag that thousands died for. The U.S. flag was the only flag flying when the slaves were brought over. Maybe our current Old Glory should be taken down.
We had a terrible event in South Carolina. So, as usual, the liberals want to make an irrelevant, symbolic gesture like going after Confederate flags. Take them down, but ultimately it’s irrelevant.

I wouldn’t be surprised if President Obama wants to remove the American flag because it might offend the Muslim community.
The swastika also has historical significance. Maybe we should put that one up there in Veterans Memorial Park as well.
The leaders of Wal-Mart have declared that they don’t want anyone to be offended by the things they sell. Does that mean I can send them a list of merchandise that offends me and they will promptly remove those items from the stores?
If you will give your weekly contribution to the Salvation Army if the Catholic Church wants to talk about climate change, who will you divert your weekly contribution to when the Catholic Church wants to talk about abortion? That’s what I thought.
Since 433,000 Kansans voted for Gov. Sam Brownback’s policies that have created the budget crisis, they should all write checks for $100 to fix the problem.
The Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy crunched the numbers and found that the poorest 20 percent of Kansans will now pay 1.4 percent more in taxes than in 2012 and the wealthiest 1 percent will pay 1.9 percent less. That’s the Republican way. But it’s wrong.
As you remember, the Machinists union and greed forced Boeing to sell. Luckily, Onex bought it and formed Spirit. We are once again at the crossroads, with the union and its high wages and demands making Spirit have to sell the fabrication side of its business to keep competitive.
NBC moved Brian Williams to MSNBC. I wonder who is being punished, Brian Williams or MSNBC?
