Opinion Line Extra (Oct. 8)
The governor of Kansas should have dropped the state tax on gasoline. That would have helped out the economy and all the people instead of just a few.
The first step in the governor’s plan for Kansas is working. The rich are getting richer. The second step is for the rest of us to be patient until the wealth overflows to our level. Surely the “job creators” are almost rich enough now for the economy to start booming.
Voting “none of the above” is a cop-out. I am voting for Paul Davis and Jean Schodorf. I have seen enough Kansans hurt by Gov. Sam Brownback, and we have spent enough defending the bad decisions of Kris Kobach.
Greg Orman says he will only listen to us. I wonder which ones of us he is going to listen to – the ones who are Democrat or the ones who are Republican. It would be nice to know, as not all of us think the same way or are for the same agendas.
No one can say for certain what Orman would do in the Senate should he be elected. But we can say for certain what Pat Roberts would do – more of what he’s been doing, which is nothing but gridlock, gridlock, gridlock.
I notice there are current elected officials who are now running or committed to run for a different office. How can they properly represent us taxpayers if they have an eye on another job? If they want another job, let them run. But they should step down from their present position.
Since there don’t seem to be “moderate” Democrats any longer, if you vote for a Democrat you’re either a Marxist or a moron. Come to think of it, if you’re the former you’re also the latter.
The Democrat candidates are hilarious. If they’re not telling Obama-size lies about Republicans, they are twisting facts to the point they are unrecognizable.
I remember when Obama told us we could keep our health care plan if we liked it. Good luck now.
The proof that I needed to confirm my suspicion that the Ebola virus is out of control was printed for all to see in Saturday’s Eagle. It was hidden in the headline, “White House reassures public on Ebola scare.”
There should be a travel ban from West Africa.
My dog died the other day. I just can’t seem to figure out how to blame it on President Obama.
Excuse us, Mr. President – may we play through? Some of us actually have to get back to work.
Ironically, Phil Robertson’s book stayed on the best-seller list a lot longer than Hillary Clinton’s. I read both and can see why.
I have noticed in the past years that many men are becoming bald, and I sometimes wonder if it’s because of the price of haircuts.
