Can people in California still get milk in plastic bottles, or are they required to just suck it directly from the cows udders? Is California even part of the USA?
The Internet has made people half as smart as doctors and 10 times more dangerous.
Jeb Bush was right about our pessimism, but not all of it can be blamed on the president. Polls seem to show that our governor and others from the ultraright are even more to blame. The only fix is to get out and vote. Please don’t give up and stay home Nov. 4.
Interesting how the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that corporations are basically people (i.e., Citizens United), but Kansas has for tax purposes exempted them from state income tax. How fair is that?
How will Gov. Sam Brownback explain the loss of the Amazon distribution center in Coffeyville? Is it part of his “road map”? Look for higher unemployment and more meth in southeast Kansas.
I received a polling call about whom I would choose for Senate – one for Pat Roberts, two for Greg Orman. But they did not give me an option to write in Mickey Mouse. He is better than either.
Orman, running as an independent, has declined to take a position on the Keystone XL pipeline. That should tell everyone what party he belongs to.
Of course the Kansas Democratic Party doesn’t have to obey the law and name a replacement Senate candidate. Their fearless leader sitting in the Oval Office, or on a plane or on vacation somewhere, doesn’t obey the law unless it suits him.
Would you rather have a successful Kansas businessman represent you, or a lifetime bureaucrat who doesn’t even live in Kansas? Let’s vote for Greg Orman to be our next senator.
I received a slick mailing from the Republican Party explaining what Orman stands for, but not one word about what Roberts has accomplished for us in all these years. Maybe they couldn’t think of anything. I don’t agree with Orman on everything, but he has this moderate Republican’s vote.
To all my fellow (true) conservatives: Yes, we must sweep out the “establishment” Republicans, because they have long since sold us out. But not now. Now, the single most important matter is taking the Senate away from the Democratic Party. All else is secondary. Please, stay focused on that.
The Republicans do, too, want Obama to be protected, because if one of these maniacal fence jumpers takes out the president, then Joe Biden becomes president.
No citizen should be discouraged from voting. Paul Weyrich, a founder of ALEC, once said: “I don’t want everybody to vote.... As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.” Does that sentiment sound familiar?
