Let’s hope the next U.S. attorney general is qualified for the job and not a political hack like Eric Holder.
I don’t trust the CDC officials for one second on their Ebola containment claims. They are being way too cavalier about the seriousness of the situation. New information is coming to light every day that makes the case in Texas look a lot less controlled than they are leading us to believe.
I read the Davis Merritt column (Sept. 30 Opinion) and decided that the Republican Party needs to change its name to the “Bully Party.” I also believe that the Johnson County Commission on Aging should be proud that it refused to be intimidated.
Sam Brownback’s father doesn’t trust Sam with the family combine. Should we trust Sam with the future of the Kansas economy? With the future education of our children? With the health of our state budget? I think not.
Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback are so afraid that they have to bring in two gentlemen who have spent way too much time in Washington, the former governor of Alaska, and two governors embroiled in investigations for abuse of power. I don’t see any Democratic lawmakers stumping for Greg Orman.
Which is worse – going to an adult club 16 years ago when you were 26 years old and unmarried, or auctioning off sex toys to try to fill the budget gap caused by your disastrous economic policies?
Pro-Paul Davis ads are trying to blame test score decreases on Brownback. That is the fault of the teachers in the liberal teachers unions who are not doing their jobs. They may be doing it intentionally because of the Republican governor.
The tax breaks are working, despite the untruths told by the Democratic hopefuls. Even President Kennedy was for tax cuts. Kansas can begin to compete with other states. We know that the extra money in our pockets and being spent adds to the increase of productivity in our state.
I think we need for the silent majority to step up to the plate. We need to take back our country from all the lobbyists and big money donors that have taken over our political parties and government.
Try making enclosed malls more inviting. The Jordan Creek Town Center in Des Moines, a town smaller than Wichita, makes both of our malls look pathetic. The landscaping is beautiful and clean. It makes you want park and go look inside.
Anyone with common sense should know that little children shouldn’t play football. Only jocks think their boys have to be football players. Your brain is not considered fully developed until age 25.
